As for the picture, you are correct. I use pixabay for all my photos unless otherwise cited because they do not require citation and its time consuming to add citations on every picture. Maybe it would have saved me some time however and I wouldn't have received the letter from Medium! I’ll consider adding it into my workflow moving forward.
